A request for quote: a document that tells a contract manufacturer what you want made so it can price it. It covers the product, formula, packaging, quantities, timing and any certifications you need.
At least the dosage form, the formula with the form and amount of each ingredient, the serving size and count per container, the packaging, and how many units you want. The more exact the spec, the more comparable the quotes.
No. Tick “I don’t have a formula yet” and describe what you want the product to do; some manufacturers offer formulation help. Say so in the RFQ so they can quote for it.
Many brands ask manufacturers to sign a non-disclosure agreement before sharing a full formula. You can send a first RFQ with the dosage form, key ingredients and quantities, and share the full formula once you are talking to a shortlist.
Enough to compare a few quotes on the same spec. On this site you can shortlist up to 5 manufacturers and send them one quote request.
