Hard capsules run from size 000, the largest at 1.37 mL, to size 5, the smallest at 0.13 mL. How many milligrams a capsule holds depends on your powder’s density: a size 00 capsule holds 546 mg at 0.6 g/mL and 1,092 mg at 1.2 g/mL. Figures are for Coni-Snap hard gelatin capsules.

Then pick the smallest size that gives a capsule count you are happy with. The capacities here assume the whole capsule volume is filled at that density. Your manufacturer can measure the density of your blend and run fill trials; confirm the size with them before ordering.
