How to sell supplements on Amazon: compliance steps
To sell supplements on Amazon, check the policy for your marketplace and the requirements shown for each product in Seller Central before ordering inventory. Use Amazon’s required testing, inspection and certification workflow when requested; a manufacturer’s certificate alone does not guarantee listing acceptance.
Start with your marketplace and product
Open the dietary supplements policy while signed into the account you will sell from. Record the marketplace, product classification, requested documents and deadlines. Access and requirements can depend on the account and product; this guide does not promise approval or present a universal test panel.

Follow Amazon’s validation request
Amazon’s official notice directs sellers to Account Health and Food and Product Safety Issues to begin a validation request and select an approved testing, inspection and certification provider. Follow the current instructions in your account. Ask the provider what it needs from the brand and manufacturing site before sending samples or paying for unrelated tests.

Prepare a product evidence folder
As a buyer workflow, gather the final label artwork, product identifiers, manufacturer legal name and site address, available quality certificates, formula and existing test records. Ask the provider which of these it requires for the specific request. Keep its submission confirmation and Amazon’s response with the product records.

Resolve gaps before committing inventory
If the product or site evidence does not match the request, obtain the missing information from your manufacturer and the provider. Budget for requested validation in your launch plan. Recheck the policy and your compliance dashboard when changing the formula, label, supplier or marketplace.
