NSF-Certified Supplement Manufacturers in Colorado

12 NSF-certified supplement manufacturers in Colorado have a facility certified to NSF/ANSI 455-2 (GMP for dietary supplements); the most are in Colorado Springs (3), Denver (3) and Louisville (2). Data checked against NSF’s public listing on November 1, 2026.

NSF/ANSI 455-2 is the GMP audit standard for dietary supplements. It is built around the FDA’s dietary supplement GMP rule (21 CFR Part 111) and adds retailer requirements, so a certified facility has been audited against one harmonised checklist rather than a different one for each retailer.

Questions buyers ask

What does NSF/ANSI 455-2 certification mean?

NSF/ANSI 455-2 is a good manufacturing practice (GMP) audit standard for dietary supplements. It is built around the US FDA’s dietary supplement GMP rule (21 CFR Part 111) and adds retailer-driven requirements, so facilities are audited against one harmonised checklist. Certification applies to a specific facility and is listed publicly by the certifier.

Is NSF/ANSI 455-2 the same as NSF Certified for Sport?

No: NSF/ANSI 455-2 certifies a facility’s manufacturing practices, while NSF Certified for Sport certifies individual products. Product programmes such as NSF Certified for Sport and NSF/ANSI 173 check, for example, that contents match the label and that banned substances are screened. A product made in a 455-2 certified facility is not automatically product-certified.

How do you check certification?

We read NSF’s public NSF/ANSI 455 listing, match each listed facility to a company, and record the date we checked. A listing reflects what NSF published on that date; certifications can lapse or change between checks, which is why we show the date.

How do I verify a manufacturer’s GMP certification myself?

Ask the manufacturer for their current certificate and the exact facility address it covers, then look that facility up on the certifier’s public listing (for NSF/ANSI 455, NSF’s online listings). Certificates apply to specific sites, so make sure the facility that will make your product is the one listed. Each profile here links to the public listing we checked and the date we checked it.

What should I ask for in a quote request?

Ask for minimum order quantity, lead times, formulation options, testing and certificates of analysis, in writing. In detail: ask about minimum order quantity (MOQ) per SKU, lead time for a first run and for reorders, whether they offer stock formulas or custom formulation, who sources raw materials, what testing they run (identity, potency, microbiological, heavy metals) and whether you receive a certificate of analysis (COA) per batch, and whether they support the label claims you plan to make. Terms vary widely by manufacturer, so compare written answers rather than assumptions.

How do I compare NSF-certified supplement manufacturers in Colorado?

Check the facility address and the scope shown on its registry record, then confirm that the proposed work will take place at that site in Colorado. Ask for a written quote with minimum order, testing, packaging, freight and lead times. A company address alone does not establish where your order will be made.
